Promitto gallery

Founded by Valérie Guérin, the Promitto Gallery showcases unique pieces,
which carry meaning and are designed to last.

Guided by the double meaning of the Latin word Promitto, signifying both "to put forward" and "to let grow".

The gallery focuses on
MARC HELD's TUMBLERS
and exceptional craftsmanship,
while also incorporating a focus on sustainability.

Driven by Valérie's passion for fine materials, the gallery is dedicated to exceptional art furniture.
Working closely with designer Marc Held and artisans specializing in fine craftsmanship,

Valérie Guérin oversees every step, from conception to completion.
The collections, like the iconic wooden CULBUTO toys,
combine technological innovation with exceptional craftsmanship.

Drawing their inspiration from nature, these limited, numbered and signed creations are distinguished by their poetry, harmony and elegance. créations limitées, numérotées et signées se distinguent par leur poésie, leur harmonie et leur élégance.

A pivotal encounter

The collaboration between Valérie Guérin and Marc Held has its roots in 2014, when they met at the Musée des Arts décoratifs during the signing of Marc Held's book, 50 ans de design, written by Michèle Champenois and published by Éditions Norma.

From then on, a dialogue developed around their shared passion for design, architecture and exceptional craftsmanship. This relationship has grown richer over the years, particularly during a stay with Marc Held in Skopelos, Greece, where Valérie Guérin was able to discover his creative world: sculptural furniture, an airy shelf with anchors, and an enchanting garden designed by the designer.
